About GrocerDeals
This week's supermarket specials from the stores you shop at, in one place. Free, no app, no sign-up.
GrocerDeals is a small, independent side project built in Auckland. It doesn't compare supermarkets or tell you where your shop is cheapest. It shows what's on special at the stores you pick, so you can plan your shop around the deals.
Where the prices come from
- Specials are collected every morning from the supermarkets' own websites: PAK'nSAVE and New World from about 4:30am, Woolworths at 5:10am.
- PAK'nSAVE and New World: every Auckland store that sells online, with each store's own prices. Other regions aren't covered yet.
- Woolworths: the specials and prices from Woolworths' online shop. Your local store's prices may be different.
- Under the page heading you can see when the prices for your stores were last checked. If a store hasn't been updated for a few days, its specials are hidden until it is.
- Product names, photos and prices belong to the supermarkets. Click any special to see it on the supermarket's own website.
How accurate it is
Prices and specials can change during the day, and may differ in store, online, or with a loyalty card. Always check the price at the supermarket before you rely on it. GrocerDeals can't guarantee that a special is still available or correct.
- Prices marked Club+ (PAK'nSAVE, New World) or Everyday Rewards (Woolworths) need that loyalty card.
- Some specials don't show a "was" price because the supermarket doesn't publish one.
- Products are sorted into categories automatically, so the odd item may be in the wrong one.
- Beer, wine and cider specials of 25% or more off aren't shown, because New Zealand law restricts advertising alcohol at those discounts.
Not affiliated with the supermarkets
GrocerDeals isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Woolworths New Zealand, Foodstuffs North Island, PAK'nSAVE or New World. Their names and trademarks belong to them. If you represent one of them and have a concern, please email us at hello@grocerdeals.nz and we'll respond promptly.
Privacy
GrocerDeals has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
- Your chosen stores are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- "Near me" asks your browser for your location to sort stores by distance. That happens on your device; your location isn't sent to us.
- Visitor counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they view, and roughly where from (country, device, the site that linked here). It doesn't use cookies, and Cloudflare says it doesn't track you across other websites.
- Usage counts: to see whether the site is useful, it counts how often things happen each day, such as searches, filters, deal clicks, and whether a visit is from a browser that has been here before (one that already has stores chosen). Only daily totals are kept. No ID is attached, and nothing links them to you or your browser.
- Feedback: if you answer the short feedback question, your answers and anything you type are stored without your name, email or any other identifying details. Please don't include personal details.
- Server logs: like any website, our hosting provider (Fly.io, in Sydney) handles your IP address to deliver the site. We use IP addresses only to block abuse, such as someone sending too many requests, and the logs are kept for a short time.
- We don't sell or share data with anyone, and there's no advertising tracking.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what information we hold about you. In practice that's nothing that identifies you, but if you have any questions, email hello@grocerdeals.nz.
